Description: LNR Property Corp. and International Studio Group have established formal agreements to add a film-and-television-production facility to the former Naval Air Station in South Weymouth Massachusetts At full build-out, the project is expected to generate thousands of permanent entertainment industry jobs and over 2,000 construction jobs. Under the agreements, LNR and ISG will be responsible for the development of the studio project and construction of all studio facilities. ISG will be responsible for the marketing, leasing and day-to-day operations The facility site plan on 30 acres calls for the construction of 11 sound stages, production offices and more than 125,000 s/f of general office and retail space. . Construction slated to begin in August.
Mike Marcone of Marcone Capital, Inc. has arranged the permanent financing for two adjacent office buildings in Southborough, Mass. Major tenants in the two story buildings include Visiting Nursing Association, New England Home Therapies, Becker College, and the Massachusetts Restaurant Association. The property was acquired by the owner in February 2007. At the time of acquisition the property was only 41 percnet leased after the occupancy is close to 80 percent. The property is owned by Southborough Equity Partners, LLC, an entity controlled by Kambiz Shahbazi, who is also the owner of KS Partners.
Michael Carucci of ERA Boston Real Estate Group has brokered the sale of a office condominium in Copley Sq for $2.5 million. Carucci represented the seller, Copley Boylston Associates, and the buyer, Trinity View in the transaction.
Michael Stone and Jessa Kurzman of the Connecticut multi-housing team of CB Richard Ellis have negotiated the sale of six assets totaling 723 units for $36.4 million. CBRE represented the seller, Creative Management & Realty Co., Inc. and procured the buyer in each transaction. The properties include Southwood Apartments, Flanders West, Exchange Place Towers, and Prospect Towers.
